Lewis Angapak Memorial School

The Lewis Angapak Memorial School is located in a remote area of the Lower Kuskokwim river delta in Tuntutuliak, Alaska. Students are Yup'ik Eskimos who speak English as a second language. There are about 400 people in the village and many of them are related to one another. All of our students participate in a subsistence economy where animals and plants are harvested depending on the seasons. In the last three years the school has had two Principals and five new teachers. Teachers, supplies and fuel are all transported by bush plane or boat to the school.
